His opposite number, Manuel Pellegrino, was sacked after just a season at Real Madrid - in part because his side finished behind arch-rivals Barcelona - so the Chilean also understands the importance of getting the better of big rivals. In the day's early kick-off, Arsenal host Stoke, hoping to extend their perfect home record in Premier League fixtures against the Potters, having won on all five previous occasions. Could new Stoke manager Mark Hughes inspire his side to end their losing streak?
