The owner of Colombo's Italian Steakhouse in Eagle Rock, California, fears an Employee of the Month competition is the reason for a lack of staff harmony. Even though the owner fires her during the confrontation and threatens to get her car off the property before he calls a tow truck, the waitress tries to apologize stating it will never happen again, but is rebuffed until the waitress explains that this is the only job she has. The owner spares her by giving her a second chance while stating that she has to pay $1,000 back to him. The narrator revealed that the waitress has apologized to everyone and paid the owner back after she was given a second chance. The owner has discontinued the Employee of the Month competition and instead rewards the staff for working together.
